A collision occurred yesterday (21/9/21) between a diesel locomotive and a stationary rake of coaches at Grosmont, North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
Details are scarce (probably because it is under investigation by the RAIB) but it appears that, although there were passengers on the train at the time of the collision, no serious injuries were reported. It also appears that the rake of coaches (or at least some of them) have been taken out of service for the time being, resulting in the cancellation of the railway's Pullman services over the next few days.
The NYMR's Autumn Steam Gala is still able to take place over 23rd-26th September as planned (apart from the cancellation of the Pullman services).
