Wagga Wagga definitely exists here in southern NSW and has grown into a big town.
It supposedly means Crow in the local indigenous dialect, being repeated for more than one crow.
Though some don't approve of that translation.
Kangaroo supposedly originated from a Pommy invader's misunderstanding of a local word for the critter.
Amusing that them first white inhabitants of Sydney Cove almost starved as they didn't want to chomp on abundant kangaroo.
Now we have kanga bangers and roo steaks being all the rage, on the high priced meat shelf at the supermarket.
I can't afford anything on that high priced shelf, including the wraskally rabbit.
And back when I was a nipper, rabbit was cheaper than chook.
Still no word about this rail prang by our ATSB mob.
Steve.
