I found the site very interesting.
For instance, in the steam section [or diesel, electric] you could type in any BR loco number and it would give you pretty much the life history of the loco in question.When/where made,number of loco's made, by whom, first shed allocation, last shed allocation, date withdrawn, date disposed of and who disposed of the loco.
I hope the site comes back on line soon.

It does sound interesting, I hope it comes back, then I can have a good look. There's some other good sites out there, but I had them bookmarked on a computer which has recently died on me, so I can't give any links. However, WNXX is good for locations of stored/withdrawn locos, complete with photo galleries etc, and ABrail gives up-to-date listings of virtually everything that runs on the system. Both are well worth Googling to find.
