Being a cynical old git and one who always likes to find the easiest way of doing things, I can't help but wonder if they didn't fully exhaust the brake pipe so that they didn't have to waste time charging it back up after running round. Or then again maybe they just messed up. Been there.
Not making judgements you understand - if they gave out prizes for doing stupid things I'd have a house full of cups.
And good on the other driver for being able to screw the naughty train down. Takes some nerve.
