The one that me and my circle of railway minded friends had a soft spot for for was a Class 11 shunter.
12121 spent its entire life in Hull as far as I know, initially allocated to Alex Dock, then Dairycoates and finally to Botanic Gardens. It stayed at Botanic for two or three years, never doing any work and seemingly rusted to the rails. BG never seemed the same place once 12121 was dragged away to be dismantled.
I also had a soft spot for the Hull 03's. What I'd give to see one of them on station pilot duties at Paragon again!!!
