Hello from the USA
Hello. I just joined the forum so I can keep up with all that is going on in Blighty. Born in NW England and still have a house 4 miles north of Preston Lancs which backs on to the WCML. Lifelong enthusiast and "cleared" all my locos for the 1st time July 25th 1976. For the record my last loco was 08663 which I finally saw at number 1 target point Swansea East Docks (allocated to Landore). 2nd time around it was 37043 which I saw at Scunthorpe. I went through the haulage phase in the 1970s and 80s + 90s.
Educated at Imperial College London in Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering , with a Masters in the Corrosion of Engineering Materials. I now live and spend most of my time in Dayton,Ohio USA - google it - The Birthplace of Aviation as the Wright brothers were from here.
