I come from a "railway" family. My Greatgrandfather and Greatuncle were both drivers on the Great North of Scotland Railway. My Grandfather would also have been, but he had an accident on the railway and lost an arm. Spnt the rest of his life as a levelcrossing keeper at Elgin. I boke the mould and became a marine engineer, however I have a lifelong interest in steam locomotives. Heard of this sight via the sister site, Ships Nostalgia and hope to learn and contribute.
