My name is Steve and I am 27.

I am not an expert on railways really, but my father is a great enthusiast of and is very knowledgeable about the railways and through this I am very interested in them.

I had the fortune to visit many preserved lines over the UK including many of the narrow gauge in Wales. I love steam Preserved and mainline.

I also love the hustle and bustle of main line workings.

My father is also a model engineer and has 3 models he has built over the years. Sadly the talent seems to have by passed me.

Anyway I know more than most normal punters about railways but not as much as many who probably are members here.

I am also a new found amateur photographer and am looking to photo more of the railways in the future.

Anyway I hope I can learn some things and have some good discussions here
