Had a great weekend with wonderful hospitality from the Railway. No. 3 did all that was asked of her, a great start to the new season, especially after the race to get winter maintenance done so that she could attend the Gala.

Great to meet Alan line side on Sunday. I was on the footplate all day Saturday.

Got home 9.30pm last night ready for a hot bath and my own bed!

Ribble Steam railway is a great place for photography, so if you haven't been, go to the next Gala. However I can't promise the light will be as good as it was this weekend. Be sure to go and spend some money there, even if you don't ride the trains. They do a good bacon bap in the cafe!
