Hello to All! I would be very grateful if any one could offer any advise as to which book/books are considered to be the best ones showing the disused and former railway lines across the country?

I really want to get one for my Dad for Fathers day, but I want to make sure I get him a good one and for obvious reasons I don't want to ask him which one he reads in the library as it will give away my plans!

Any advise would be gratefully received as I am complete loss as to which book to get him.
