Hi sirvisto68 I was a regular at the " Goat " in the late1950s early 1960s The govenor was called George I think his surname was Giddies or something like that, George was a good bloke and every Sunday he put on a huge bar buffet. Can you remember your next door neihgbours name I might have worked with him when I was firing a Enfield.
I never stopped at Gordon Hill on a V2 so it was not me who allowed you on the footplate. And yes most days were hard work on the ECML but it got a lot easier with the advent of diesels cheers for now.
