Original route was Chesterfield & Lincoln railway, which, via Arkwright Town and the Scarcliffe tunnel, joined the L & NER (GCR Mansfield Branch) at Clipstone. It then proceeded over the North Eastern Railway (ECML) at Tuxford and onwards to Lincoln and Skeggie.

Thought it was independant of the ECML but it's afew years since I read the book about it we di walk a lot of the route between Chesterfield to the other side of Bolsover but they had filled the tunnels in by then although the cuttings and entrances are still there
Pity I can't get and record them now would be good historical records
