Welcome from another ex BR man. Can't get as enthusiastic about diesels I'm afraid. I started at Saltley in Dec 63, reached Registered Fireman grade. Had some experience of diesel second manning, and operating the boilers for train heating. Got to drive them when marshalling on shed, mainly Class 24/25s, but my main experiences were on Steam Locos. Enjoy the forum.
