About 1990 we were issued with the British Rail Coporate Collection.
As traincrew we were measured up for the basic issue of this new unifrom.
There was new cotton shirts with short /long sleeved shirts, which had blue and white stripes, with the BR logo on the breast pockets in red.
We had navy blue trousers, and jacket, with plastic buttons.
Also a blue car coat with zip in liner, and navy blue socks.
A leather belt and steel toe cap shoes in a nice shade of black.
This was all topped off with a nice black peaked hat with a silver BR logo badge, and a plastic cover in case it rained,
also a nice navy blue scarf with red end markings and a BR logo. If rember also a pair of sun glasses or clip ons.
These had to be sent back cos when worn on the loco they made the signals blurred.
If Imade any errors it was 21 yeards ago.
