The Senior Rail Card does not include bus travel and costs IIRC £25 for a year.
The card that includes bus travel is your local authority one which has a train pass on the back of the national bus pass and varies from one area to another.
Often the local authority discount is bigger and often covers a larger area. Clearly not the distances the OP is writing about though
