Thanks for that info John bit behind with the progress it literally only needed the track to be reinstate ? We used to work freightliners from Aintree freightliner depot (long gone) right away to Bescot, when they closed that link we had to go into Edge Hill and run round and very often get soaked in the bargain. Big lift up the Bootle branch, the loading for that job to Southampton with a 47 was 870 tons ex Aintree 1170 tons ex Edge Hill sdgs sometimes we had to bring it up in 2 trips and make it up at Edge Hill to keep to the loading.
