Things are a bit quiet in this section of the forum.
I had a thought. Northern desperately needs more rolling stock, but can't get it, because the promised stock is now going to the south west, who to be honest do have a bit of a crowding problem, but nothing like up here (I know I was Exeter not too long ago).
There has been stages where I havn't been able to squeeze onto a train, so I've had to take the car, which is increasingly temperamental, or cycle with no rear brake.
Heres the thing though, its not like there aren't any pacers stored, I mean, apart from a few preserved examples and one shipped to Iran, there is nearly an entire class of 141s out there somewhere. I have said before that something has to be done and it doesn't look like it will, so desperate times cause for desperate measures.
They are some of the worst things ever to hit the rails, but its more seats.
Of course, the south west could have the 141s and let Northern hae some more 150s? (yep, not gonna happen is it?
)
What other option do they have?
