Two pieces of good news (for me anyway)

Firstly, that my local mothballed freight branch line is to see freight again after the oil works moved north to preston 4 years ago. The site is now owned by Hanson aggregates. See the attached cutting from Railway Gerald. (typo but it's a good un so I left it) I'm suprised that train made it down the branch, the track is in an overgrown and rusty condition. I suppose they know what they're doing though...

Secondly, my wife found a previously unseen (by me) photo of Golborne station on ebay. (see other attachment) and believe me I've been looking for a few years now.

Just thought you'd like to know, These small things, that most people don't care about, make me happy
