1n 1958, Aylesbury had LNER B1's, V2's, occasional A3's ans various tank, 2-8-0 and 0-6-0 freight engines. The LMS contingent were Black 5's and 2-6-4T's. The Metropolitan trains changed engines at Amersham or Rickmansworth from Metro. Electrics (Sarah Siddons etc.) to LM tanks. Freight was mainly worked by 9F's from Annesley.
GW pannier tanks worked the High Wycombe services, occasionally a Flying Banana diesel worked these services. I never saw any Southern there.
