I really think that old our track lines that have now been reduced to two need to be with four once more.
This line may not have or has got four tracks but more tracks means less congestion.
Reopening lines is always a good idea and I really think that main lines and secondry routes should not have closed.
Some branch lines did need to close but these were closed before BR and therefore there was a good reason for the closure.
Even if we never get back to the huge amount of lines that we had, we need at least 2000 miles for the time being to improve public transpot and do our bit for the planet.
