Good evening all, and thanks for letting me join you in here! Although I don't work on the railway, I'm from a family of railwaymen (2 x Grand Uncles drove Black 5s ... I guess it's deeply embedded in the genes
) Based in Inverness, so not surprisingly the HR and LMS are my main interests, but I enjoy everything about the network - always explore museums and Steam Centres all over the country and abroad when I get the chance - last visit was a wonderful day at Didcot when work took me to Oxford. I travel by train very regularly, and still get a thrill every time, whether it's just a short trip I've done 100s of times or an overnighter on the London Sleeper.
Also enjoy walking and mountain-biking old trackbeds; and reading, and collecting old railway books.
