Working in the London area, including a stint on the Western, I became quite familiar with all four locos. 628 and 500 were Old Oak Common's no.1 and 2 choices for the Royal Train in the mid to late 1980s, though I did see 484 on it once.

I became even better aquainted with 484 when it became one of the Trainload Freight south Stratford based 47s, the livery used to go very nicely with the green Cricklewood / Forders "Binliner" train
