Responding to the Forum's advert in January 2009 Railways Illustrated I thought I'd join to see what is being discussed.
I've had a lifetime's interest in Railways, been a member of The Swanage Railway since 1972 and one of their volunteer Mixed Traction Drivers for about 18 years. After 'driving a desk' (office job) for 31 years I left and trained to be a main line driver in 1999. I took early retirement in 2007 and moved to Swanage, Dorset
