Hello everyone

I have been interested in railways for many years and now that I am retired I will be able to spend more time with both real trains and model railways

My interest in trains was started by my grandfather (family nickname Tish) who was a fireman and driver out of Malton North Yorks shed between 1900 and 1945
He regularly drove along what is now the north yorkshire moors railway

I have recently become a volunteer Traveling Ticket Inspector on the NYMR and I amj looking forward to reading the interesting threads on this forum
