At present there are no Class 57 in presevation unless you count the one at West Coast Railways. As they are a TOC it is difficult to argue. Of course they do have a number of steam engines which are considered to be preserved!
There has been an article in one of the magazines recently about the 57's and the 47's that were withdrawn to produce them. I may have it but can't put my hand on it at present. I think it was probably Railway Magazine.
