Yup it's currently happening with the Selhurst based 319 EMUs. It's common enough nowadays to see Southern branded stock working to Bedford, but I nearly dropped the handle when I saw a Thameslink branded unit stopping at South Croyden a while ago.
(Most 319s are based at Bedford, but Southern maintains the last few which haven't been passed across. This situation should cease when the final 12 Southern 319s are handed across to FCC in December this year).
