Dunno if anyone can help, on monday night, a SWT class 159 appeared to be towing a SWT class 158 or 159 from Bristol to Sailsbury.

Went past Thingly Junction again the other day,,,, had some of those autoballester waggons in there, huge stock pile of old railway sleepers and theres a sign now saying its a rail reclamation...

Just a curious question, i often see photos of the 2 fastline grids in railway herald but why are they always double heading everything? Do the two locos now act as one single more powerful loco...

the service is no longer ran as an enterprise service anymore for a number of years.
Although it was normally mixed with an oil train from the same location (which went to Tavistoke Jct Plymouth)....

locomotives working in multiple are down to the connectors linking each locomotive not the coupling of the trains.

so if a class 60 was attached to a class 66 they wouldn't be able to work in...
