HI ...Just to say the engine that they are in the process of restoring is an A/X Class W11 and will be named Newport

Hi Tony.... No it's the A1/X Class W11 Newport... they tend to name their restored engines after towns on the island...ie: Freshwater and Carisbrooke... hope that helps ... they are due to...

Hi

Thanx ....They are extending the platform in Wootton by 15metres in readiness for a new engine they are restoring ....unfortunately it won't be ready to roll for another year or so....But IOW railway...
