New additional services to/from Fishguard Harbour
Cant find a thread on this topic, but since we are getting close to 12th september i thought i would start this.
Below are the times for the new additional trains running to/from Fishguard Harbour which are now on national rail enquiries, although there have been a few mistakes in the timetable, particulary the 15:14 Cardiff - Fishguard service which aparantly doesnt serve Swansea and the 09:07 which starts from Whitland yet is worked by 1 of the class 153's which comes down on the 06:42 service from Cardiff. 01:45 Fishguard Harbour to Swansea 06:53 Fishguard Harbour to Clarbeston Road 08:04 Fishguard Harbour to Manchester Piccadilly 09:56 Fishguard Harbour to Carmarthen 13:30 Fishguard Harbour to Cheltenham Spa 19:00 Fishguard Harbour to Clarbeston Road 20:50 Fishguard Harbout to Carmarthen Westbound wortkings are: 05:50 Carmarthen to Fishguard Harbour 07:34 Claberston Road to Fishguard Harbour 06:42 Cardiff to Pembroke Dock/Fishguard Harbour (train splits at Carmarthen/Whitland, Fishguard portion departs whitland at 09:07) 10:55 Cardiff to Fishguard Harbour 15:14 Cardiff to Fishguard Harbour (Should be worked by 2 units between Cardiff & Swansea as 1 is needed to work the 17:10 Swansea - Cardiff swanline stopping service. also trains does serve swansea, so ignore the mistake in the timetable, train arrives into swansea at 16:19 and departs at 16:37) 20:05 Claberston Road to Fishguard Harbour 23:45 Swansea to Fishguard Harbour To work these services an additional class 150 has been sourced by ATW to work on the Pembroke dock/Fishguard Harbour/Heart of wales diagrams, this is believed to be on of the 2 class 150's which is hired daily to FGW which is due to end next month now that FGW have got 2 class 150's from London Midland. The short workings to/from Claberston road are designed to connect where possible with Milford Haven trains. Another fact to point out is that the current 10:05 Swansea - Pembroke Dock service will now start from Carmarthen at 10:55, however there will be a Manchester - Carmarthen service which will now run from Swansea at 10:00 which will arrive into Carmarthen at 10:50. At the moment it is hoped to have at least part of the platform at Fishguard & Goodwick open by the end of the year for passengers, there is a lot of slack already in the timetable for trains to serve the station. Trains should be worked by class 150/153's although the 08:04 service to Manchester should be a class 158/175. Hopefully once more dmu's are available and if passengers numbers are good then it is possible that an extra afternoon service will be added to plug the long gap between trains. |
All times are GMT +1. The time now is 13:32. |
