Hi Syd
Just go's to show how the number of dead on Indian railways in one year is caused by the somewhat cavalier attitude toward H&S that the Indian continant has? It is always a sad affair when anyone dies as a result of accidents no matter how caused but surely this can be much reduced by adopting tighter controls. Lets hope lessons are learned!
Regards

Phil, they don't have a cavalier attitude toward H&S, they don't have H&S at all.

Agreed; Seems to me they are about 100 years behind the rest of us with regard to H&S.

Maybe the fact that they cram 250 people into/onto a coach with 60 seats may have some bearing on the death toll in Indian accidents.

Not to mention the number hanging from the roof or sides either?
