Another new boy joins the forum, served apprenticeship at Eastleigh loco works, helped to build some of OV Bullied stock. Prior to start of time I was the works manager office boy in the carriage works when cigarettes were in short supply and I was given a free pass to travel the SR in search of Players Medium cut for him.

Im sure there are quite a few of us who would like to hear any stories about the Southern Railway, and not just the Southern Region.

Shame Eastleigh Works is just a ghost town now.
