Nederlandse Spoorwegen have bid for the Great Eastern Railway franchise - does that mean we will see strange yellow double-decker trains going to Tottenham Hale and Shenfield, next stop Cross Rail?

Here is a dutch double decker - I wonder if that logo is going to be pretty common through chelmsford? Do they fit under GER wires?

anyone know if their wires are at the same height as ours

I seem to remember cramming 2 decks into one did not work on the southern in 40s & 50s due to slow loading in cramped coaches

These were the Southern 4DD units.

They were double-deck EMUs built in 1949 IIRC, and withdrawn in 1972, they were rarely seen around the network as they were only used on Charing Cross/Cannon Street to Gravesend line.
