Return of the boat train.

Today I was reading through my copy of 'Railways Illustrated', and I found that regular boat trains from Edinburgh and Glasgow are to operate to Southampton.
Trains from Edinburgh will call at Leeds and Solihull, and the Glasgow originating trains will call at Preston and Stockport.
The magazine has said that the first train will run on April 19th.

You havn't heard the best bit yet though.
These trains won't be some overcrowded DMU, it will be loco hauled sets of either MK2 or 3 coaches, and running with 2 class 47 locomotives on each train.

Regular timetabled haulage by class 47s has not been seen for a while.
Get your cameras out lads, and find an excuse to book a cruise! :D
