Boat Train to Weymouth Docks.

In 1982 we had a family holiday in Jersey, and we went from Yorkshire on the train down to Weymouth.
This was the first time we used our railway free passes.
On the way back we caught the boat train from Weymouth Docks. This journey took us through the streets upto the main line.
Have a look at this great film of a journey thru the docks to the boat.
Make comment on the cars which had to be bumped out of the way of the train.

Brilliant. Utterly brilliant.

Thoroughly enjoyed that. A wonderful memory of a unique journey to the doc side.

Yes it was an experience I did the journey twice in 1969, and on my honeymoon in 1970.
A bit of nostalgia

Interesting film. At least one car parked after the train went down.

Great footage and a bit of nostalgia as far as I'm concerned.

My school pals and myself travelled the line in 1958 on route to Guernsey for a camping trip and it was steam hauled at that time.

Thanks for the link.
