Platform 11

Hiya,

I am doing a university project based on platform 11 and would be extremely grateful if anyone can help me out.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any famous platform 11's, famous events/if and when platform 11 has featured in any tv shows/films etc.

Any views about any platform 11 you may have come across?

Any particular trains that leave/have left from platform 11?

Any other info you feel may help me out.

Thanks

Sophie

Hi Sophie,
Platform 11 at Manchester Victoria had the distinction of being the longest platform in Britain, it ran through into Exchange station. It doesn't exist any more, Victoria was drastically "downsized" and Exchange demolished many years ago.

hello sophie,i have to agree with tony about manchester victorias platform 11,it was the longest railway platform in europe until 1969,when the exchange station it connected to closed.

There was of course the famous platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross. When I tried to find it, I just got an enormous lump on my head !
