Hello,
I'm a retired university lecturer in Operations Management and now write professionally about transport and logistics. I have two specialist interests:
1. The punctuality of trains
2. Waiting and queuing at passenger transport locations.

I'm trying to write a book about train punctuality in the UK. "Trying" because I was delayed by health troubles and I'm now attempting to make up lost time. Three requests:

a) If you'd like to read completed chapters and comment, please do. I'll e mail you the work in progress.
b) If you are a regular rail user and can submit peformance details of your service, I'd be very happy.
c) If you have had a disastrous rail journey please send details (facts please, not rude remarks)

Hi I used to work on RPC before the government broke it up.

Happy to help if I can, I do use rail fairly regularly.
