Hello, now let me pick your brains

Ha-ha! That's only part of the reason for joining. I'm writing a novel about the railway scene of the late 60s and early 70s and I'm sure I have tons of detail wrong so I shall be asking some pretty dumb questions. And if anyone wants to critique what I've written so far, here's the free PDF.

Apart from that I'm still a big train fan. It never leaves you!
