Hello DSY011 and locojoe, I wish I was an ex-BR footplateman, but unfortunately i'm only 14, so have never ridden on the footplate of any kind of locomotive. I do make every effort to go to preserved railways though :)

Aye, hopefully will. I do voulanteer at the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway at Ludborough near Louth. Obviously i'm too young to do any operating duties, but once I become 18 I want to get stuck in! :D
