advice needed: model of Tornado

Having travelled to York and back behind Tornado last saturday I am considering buying a model of this fabulous loco. I am however completely ignorant about present-day British railway modelling so I would like to know which brands can be recommended for a well detailed show-case model.
Thanks in advance for your help!
regards
Hans

Hi Hans, I believe you can buy a scale model of Tornado from the website.
www.a1steam.com but be warned, they aren`t cheap! oops just looked but no models on there, sorry.
Regards Mike.

Thanks for the tip on TMC. They have nice models of tornado indeed. They do not come cheap though. I daren't ask what a scale O model would cost if at all available:). BTW is the British scale OO compatible with the continental scale HO?

Yes Hornby & Triang used to be labelled OO/HO
