London?

Is there anything of railway interest in London these days? It is my misfortune to have to be there this Saturday and Sunday. As my interests are really 1970s diesels, I would guess not. Have looked at the Transport Museum website but it looks rather boring for the admission price, plus I have the missus to think about.

It's not like in my day when you could see Deltics and Class 31s at Kings Cross, Class 50s at Waterloo, Peaks at St Pancras....... (I know, showing my age.... and that was before I had the missus to think about)

Depressing though, all those units look and sound the same.

Yeah. I didn't get to do much, it was all museums & a play. Had a good time though. on the trip there & back I saw class 66s (x2) on flasks at Wigan, class 47s and 56s aplenty stabled at Crewe, 67s on charters and stabled at various points, 87 002 at Willesden and my first class 70 south of Crewe on the way back. So I'm happy. Thanks for the suggestions though!
Pete :-)
