Hello from pingall

Hi all, just registered on the forum. I'm lucky enough to live in Dawlish, perhaps the best location in the country to view trains. Certainly a unique setting right by the sea with fabulous curves weaving in and out of the cliffs through tunnels constructed years ago by Brunel. Photo opportunities down the Ex Estuary and along the sea wall past Dawlish Warren, Dawlish itself and on to Teignmouth.

If you haven't been you have a treat in store when you do. Anybody know when the Torbay express starts up - I know it had one run a couple of weeks ago which I was away for, but can not find any timetables for this year on the web. When I find the details I will post them on the local information websites I run for the area for all to see.

Cheers,

pingall

Hello Pingall and welcome to the Railway Forum. I was going to go on the Torbay Express last year but then went to Natal in South Africa instead. It was my Brothers 60th birthday. As he forgot mine and my wife's 60th, we decided to turn up at his. It was well worth it. Maybe we can do the Torbay this year.
