D832

Does anyone know whether D832 is currently operational? Despite my preference for steam I do have a soft spot for Warships, and seen as Onslaught is based on the East Lancs it seems criminal that I've not been hauled by it, unless of course it's a kit of parts on the shed floor, in which case it'd be quite hard to ride behind it!

Onslaught was running at the July diesel gala and I got hauled by it. Had my head stuck out of the carriage window just behind the locomotive and she sounded great!

Class 42 no. 832 'ONSLAUGHT'
The South end turbocharger was removed at the end of January 2006, to allow access to engine to replace the fuel injectors, which are causing the engines to smoke heavily. One engine pre-heater has also been removed for overhaul.

I've just been looking at the diesel roster for the ELR, ant D832 should be in traffic on the 19th and 20th of May. The roster, for anyone who is interested can be found at http://www.burydiesel.freeserve.co.uk/roster.htm. I think it musn't have steam heating apparatus becuase it never seems to be in use in the winter. Can anyone confirm or disprove this?
