Aberystwyth-London route rejected (BBC News)

Plans for a direct train service between Aberystwyth and London, proposed by Arriva Trains Wales, is rejected by the rail regulator.

Hardly surprising, its not the most convenient of routes and it would be a DMU all the way so would not be quick either

totally, 158 from BHX to barmouth is bad enough, imagine all the way to london? no thanks :-)
