VT Group snubs new takeover offer (BBC News)
 
VT Group says it has rejected a new takeover approach from rival defence and engineering firm Babcock International.

Dave, isn't Devonport Dockyard run by Babcock international?:confused: There have been HST power cars overhauled there in the past.:)

You may well be right; my knowledge of the minutae of railways is a tad limited! I just know that there's a huge Vosper Thorneycroft building very close to Portchester Castle, not far from here, they build sections of warships for the RN. :):)

vt stands for very tired or virgin trains are they the same
