If Ore station is not in Ore, where is it? Would it not make sense to rename it to it's location? Failing that, it could always be renamed "Nelson Mandela/ Barack Obama Central".

Wonder if someone will want to rename Ware,
Where is Ware Station some may ask. In Ware of course.
Anyone got an idea as to why it is or was last time I visited double track each side but single track through the station?

It probably saves them having to maintain two platforms.

Renaming what about Bat & Ball?

62440 14th January 2010 22:07

Is Bat & Ball one place or two? I've never figured it out.

Why not 'Ore Road'? In the New Forest, Beaulieu is served by Beaulieu Road, as it's more than a couple of miles away from Beaulieu itself. Or leave it vague, and just call it Ore What? Ore/Deal?
Ore's Local might give the wrong impression... ;)
