TMD's open or closed?
Hi everyone,
I was having this big debate in the pub about which depots closed, and which are still open after the freight sector went private. However, there are a few i'm not too sure about so I wondered if you guys could check this list and fill in the missing information, or correct me where necessary. Bristol Barton Hill OPEN Bounds Green ? Bescot ? Buxton ? St Blazey ? Crewe Diesel CLOSED Crewe Electric OPEN Cardiff Canton CLOSED Eastleigh ? Finsbury Park ? Hither Green ? Immingham ? Inverness ? Knottingley ? Merehead ? Margam CLOSED Motherwell ? Mossend ? Old Oak Common OPEN Ripple Lane ? Rugby ? Stratford CLOSED Slade Green ? Stewarts Lane ? Saltley ? Thornaby ? Tinsley CLOSED Tyseley ? Toton OPEN Westbury ? |
As far as I'm aware,
Knottingley------Open Motherwell------Closed Mossend--------Open (unfortunatley) Inverness-------Open (First Scotrail) As for others not sure. Les |

No Motherwell? So there's no loco depot in Scotland now? Also, is Bescot still open? The yard always looks busy driving past on the motorway but the shed doors are often closed. |
Yes Bescot is still open i know a young driver at St Blazey put in for a transfer a couple of months ago but not anymore a lot of drivers there have been made redundant.
