Christian Wolmar might be looking for free Eurostar tickets!!
Poor design meant that the elements got into somewhere they shouldnt have and caused a failure. Thats high tech for you - look how many times the Space Shuttle gets delayed by seemingly trivial readings off computer sensors, etc. Then look what happens when it does go Pete Tong. Eurostar management need terminating for the way they handled this fiasco and the bad weather is set to return later this week, but the train system was proving to be extremely reliable, its just that corporations are never prepared for extremes and dont plan properly for those eventualities. Hence neglect!!
