Business secretary Lord Mandelson supports a campaign to reopen the railway line between Beverley and York, campaigners say.

Two years ago I spent Easter in my caravan at a site which includes the old station at Fangfoss which I believe is on this line.

That seems a very long section of track and you would think very expensive ? However, the study costed it at £250m for a double track formation in 2005 so I presume that means that most of the bridges are still intact ?
