Hornby or bachmann?

Which company produces the better loco?
Both produce the Standard 75000 class 4MT, but which is better in terms of running, detail and practicality?

I am sure the next editions of the magazines will be full comparisons now the first Hornby ones have arrived. Both Hornby Magazine and Model Rail are due out in a couple of weeks.

One of the problems with the latest Hornby locos is that the detail is so fragile. They have to be handled very carefully.

I think it is very sad that Hornby went ahead with their model. The Bachmann one has been out for nearly a year and is a very acceptable model.

Best wishes,

John H-T.

Well I definately prefer BACHMANN, given the choice, not only engines but rolling stock as well. I find them much better quality.
