Southeastern have taken heed of the abolute drubbing that Terminal 5 got in the media (and quite rightly so) and are running a 'Preview' service to iron out any bugs. There is so much that could go wrong, given the unproven technology of the service.

Full marks for common sense, for once ! ;)

Why is the minister going into Ruptures over this new train,
I seem to remember something called HST that was only 15 MPH or so slower years ago and that did not need a fancy special track as the ECML seemed to be good enough. Also if that was true all those years ago why were not the fleet re-engined with more power or electrified and that would have saved countless millions plus preserved a few jobs in this country?
Or have I gone up the wrong track and into a siding?
